Sushi Self Portrait

So this semester I'm taking a class called advanced media. Pretty much we learn more advanced and in depth techniques with different media. Our first ones are mainly dealing with pen and ink.

For the first assignment he basically wanted us to jump back into pen and ink and play around with it and kinda remember how it feels. He sent us to do a 48- self portrait that involves our lunch somehow.

I chose sushi.

I sort of like how it came out, especially for the time limit. Except only half the people saw that it was sushi. Too most it looked like maggots eating a tumor and gore and nasty stuff. It was supposed to be light hearted and funny in a dark way. But, I guess in the end it came out way to grotesque. Oh well.
